As if this is even a question.
It made me wonder what would happen if all the content-creation industries blocked access to all their products for a day to demonstrate what would happen if they couldn’t make any money from their work owing to rogue sites. There’d be no music, no television, no film, no books, no radio. What would you miss the most – culture or Wikipedia?
Behind the music: What if the culture industry shut down for a day? | Music | guardian.co.uk.
Wikipedia.
I’d miss Wikipedia, Tumblr, Dreamwidth, the AO3, random blogs, my own blog… All that stuff I’d miss a million times more than I would the “culture industry”.

Have they ever SEEN the internet, and how many content creators are doing it for the joy of just creating? There’d be music, films, books, radio… it just wouldn’t be the industry/commercial stuff!
